Ribbon-Cutting Event Celebrates Mason City Clinic’s Move To New Medical Space In Albert Lea

Albert Lea Chamber of Commerce-sponsored new member ribbon-cutting celebrates Mason City Clinic’s return to providing specialty medical services in Albert Lea in the new medical space previously occupied by MercyOne.

On Wednesday, September 11th, local dignitaries, business owners and residents attended the Albert Lea Chamber of Commerce-sponsored new member ribbon-cutting to celebrate Mason City Clinic’s return to providing specialty medical services in Albert Lea in the new medical space previously occupied by MercyOne. Named Albert Lea Specialty Medical Services provided by the Mason City Clinic, the clinic is providing residents of Albert Lea and the surrounding communities with high-quality urology, podiatry, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and psychiatry services. The Mason City Clinic began providing medical services in Albert Lea in 2018 at other locations.

A group of people is gathered as a ribbon is cut during a ceremony. Most individuals are wearing green blazers. A man in a grey suit is cutting the yellow ribbon with large scissors, while others smile and look on. A sign and phone stand are also visible.

More Information About the Clinic

The clinic is located at 2440 Bridge Avenue, Albert Lea, and currently operates Tuesday & Wednesdays with AM or PM appointments depending on the specialty. Patients can check in at Hearing Associates located in the Commons Area entering on the east side of the building. Patients can schedule appointments with specialty physicians by calling 1-800-622-1411. The clinic accepts a wide range of insurance plans, ensuring that care is accessible to as many residents as possible. Many of the specialty services offered at the Clinic do not need a primary care provider referral.

“We believe Albert Lea and surrounding communities deserve access to top-tier specialty medical care close to home,” said Dr. Christopher Adams, president of Mason City Clinic and a board-certified urologist who sees patients at the Clinic. “We are pleased to bring these much-needed services to the community in this beautiful space and look forward to making a positive impact on local healthcare.”

A group of people sits in chairs along the walls of a room, while others stand and gather in the background. The room has a modern design with beige walls and a wooden ceiling accent. A tripod with a camera is set up in the foreground.

“Mason City Clinic has a long history of serving Albert Lea residents with top-tier specialty medical care. We are thrilled that they want to retain and build on that relationship,” said Brad Arends, Board Chair of the Albert Lea Healthcare Coalition, a not for profit organization that advocates for high quality, affordable and accessible medical care in Albert Lea and surrounding communities. Said Mayor Richard Murray, “We are so pleased that the Mason City Clinic is continuing their partnership with the Albert Lea community providing these essential medical services to our residents here and surrounding areas who can access this care now close to their home, without a long drive.”
