Dr. Hamilos’s journey into medicine began in southern Illinois, where he developed a deep-seated passion for clinical care and a commitment to serving his community. He completed his internal medicine training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, where he gained invaluable experience managing complex medical conditions during rigorous internship and residency rotations.
Driven by his desire to specialize in allergy and immunology, Dr. Hamilos pursued a fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. During this time, he encountered a diverse array of complex allergic and immunologic diseases, deepening his expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions such as chronic rhinosinusitis, asthma, and immune deficiencies.
Dr. Hamilos’s clinical interests span a wide range of allergic diseases, from nasal and ocular allergies to chronic rhinosinusitis and asthma. Additionally, he provides consultation and treatment for autoimmune diseases affecting the skin, such as bullous pemphigoid. Dr. Hamilos’s commitment to patient-centered care and his comprehensive approach ensure that each patient receives personalized treatment tailored to their unique needs.
